KUMASI NURSING SCHOOL
The school was established in the year 1960. It was build by the first president of the Republic of Ghana, right in the heart of kumasi - Bantama. It was the second nursing school in the country and the best so far in the country. student all over the world are welcomed.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR POST BASIC PROGRAMS
• 3 years post rotation for Peri Operative / Critical Care Nursing, Ophthalmic, Ear Nose and Throat
• 3 year post rotation for Medical Assistants
• Age should not be more than 50years, subject to medical fitness
SUBMISSIONS OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS
1. Collect one big and two quarto size EMS envelopes from any Health Training Institution
a. Use the big envelope for postage to the School
b. Self address the two quarto size envelopes to enable the school communicate to you.
2. The completed application form must be accompanied with the following:
a. Photocopies of results slips /Certificate
b. The two self addressed quarto size envelopes
The only acceptable mode of payment is by physical payment. Admission forms are sold at one thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢ 1000.00) and fees are based on budget of the school for every semister.
We also have masters in diploma for all programs below which cost Fifteen thousand Ghana cedis ( GH 15,000) and can be paid installment .

• Aggregate: SSS/ WASSCE certificate with an aggregate score of twenty –four (24) or better in six subjects comprising (3 core and 3 elective)
• Core Subjects and minimum grades: (A1 C6 in WASSCE) or A-D in SSCE) in all 3 core subjects i. e. English , Mathematics and Integrated Science
• Elective Subjects and minimum grades: for Diploma Programmes: At least Passes i.e. (A1- E8 in WASSCE) or A-E in SSCE) in 3 subjects in any of the following:
• Direct Diploma in community Medicine (Medical Assistants)
• Age: 18-35
• Aggregate: SSS/ WASSS certificate with an aggregate score of twenty –four (24) or better in six subjects comprising (3 core and 3 electives in Pure Science)
• Core Subjects and minimum grades: (A1 C6 in WASSCE) or A-D in SSCE) in all 3 core subjects i. e. English , Mathematics and Integrated Science
• Elective Subjects and minimum grades: At least 3 passes in any three elective subjects (A1-E8 WASSCE) or (A-E in SSCE) in 3 elective subjects in any of the following:
a. Elective Mathematics
b. Biology
c. Physics
d. Chemistry
B CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES
I. Certificate in Community Health Nursing (CHN)
II. Certificate in Environmental Health (Environmental Health Assistants)
III. Certificate in Community Health (Field Technicians)
IV. Certificate in Clinical Health Care (Health Assistants)
• Age: 18-35 years
• Aggregate: SSS/ WASSCE certificate with an aggregate from 25 – 30 in six subjects.
• Core Subjects and minimum grades: At least passes in three core subjects, i.e English , Mathematics and Integrated Science
• Elective Subjects and minimum grades: At least 3 passes in any three elective subjects (A1-E8 WASSCE) or (A-E in SSCE)
